Sixth: Drink lots of fluid. Drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day keeps the body hydrated. Since weight loss depends on how the body eliminates body wastes, the body must stay hydrated.

All in all, discipline and consistency is still the best practice and the key to an easy weight loss success. Healthy recipes geared towards weight loss?

I am looking for ways to lose weight. I am not overweight at all, just not satisfied with my appearance (how I look in clothes). I run a mile every day, and I have not noticed much change in my weight. I think it has something to do with my eating habits, so I am trying to really start over and eat right. Please also give tips on how I can cut back on food during the holidays when there are all sorts of sweets.

During the holidays, if you eat sweets, you can try drinking more green tea and eat raspberries to burn off the fat and calories. Eat more salads so that you feel full which will help you limit on your sweet intake. If you continue to exercise during the holidays, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Weight loss plan! please help?

I am 19 yrs old 5'9 and need to lose two stone!

Over the past few weeks i have been changing my diet from around 3,000 cals a day to 1,500 a day. I have done this by replacing junk food with fish and brown bread ect. I am also walking up hill for 45 mins a day to the train station.

But how long will it take me to lose the weight?

I attached a calculator that you can use that will tell you how many calories your body uses per day based on your age, height and weight. Once you figure that out, what you need to know is that you have to burn about 3500 calories to lose a pound, and that makes it very easy to figue out how long it will take you to lose the weight.

You already have a great plan going. Think about it…you're eating about a pound less every two days. That's amazing! Now I would encourage you to do some weight training, nothing very heavy to start. If you can't go to a gym, try push ups, sit ups, crunches, leg lifts, lunges and squats for about 20 min per day in addition to your walk. This will start building muscle. You may actually gain a bit because of this because muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle requires many many more claories to maintain, so the more muscle you have, the more calories your body will burn at rest. You'll also tighten up and start looking pretty hot after a while.

Also drink a lot of water, at least 16 glasses per day because your body needs a lot of water to burn fat. In chemical terms, burning fat is a hydrolysis reaction. Hydrolysis literally means water splitting. You need lots of water to split up that fat. Also, your body may be retaining water because you are not drinking enough which reduces it's ability to burn fat. Bring a bottle of water (nalgene or something so you look real athletic carrying it) wherever you go to remind yourself to drink often, and you'll see results. Has anyone tried LA Weight Loss or Jenny Craig?

I need to lose weight but need a structured program. I looked into both and LA wanted approx. $650 for a 52 week program and Jenny was even higher..they told me $18 a day for food and $36 for only 6 weeks on the program! I am on a budget and had NO idea what these programs would cost. Do they work? How much is weight watchers. please help if you’ve used any of these programs i need to know if it is worth the money or what u suggest?

weight watchers is awesome! i lost 15 lbs in high school in a month. my mom lost 60 lbs! its great and you can still eat out!

Help in losing weight.?

I am 28 years old 5'5 and weight 190, yes I know. I did not always weigh this much it was only until after my daughter was born and I just kept gaining. I am at work for almost 12 to 13 hours a day and the rest of the time I am at home with my daughter. I was on the Quick Weight Loss Program, lost 25 pounds and gained it back. I have since tried it again, but nothing seems to make it come off anymore. I just want to be the same weight I was years ago, but I am just having trouble.
