thank yuh so very much:) i am choosing best answer for detailed(not too detailed) answers that are easy to follow!
oh and i’m also trying to lose some fat on my thighs so sum info on how to reduce that would be awsome:)

Firstly, there is no BEST anything for everyone. Every diet and every type of exercise effects everyone differently. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another. The best way to loose weight and BE healthy is to educate yourself. This is an excellent website to get all sorts of information about nutrition:http://www.nutritiondata.com/.

Also, do something you love doing so you’ll do it often. If tennis is the "best" sport for loosing weight, but you hate playing it, what’s the point? Will you stick with something you don’t enjoy? I have had great success just doing brisk walking everyday. Some people love to run. Others enjoy just going to the gym. Do what you enjoy and don’t worry about what the "best" is.

Do not avoid protein. You body requires this to build and mend itself. Especially if you are exercising while "dieting", you absolutely need protein. If you reduce anything, reduce things like bread and other baked goods, pasta, rice, sugar etc. Americans eat way too much of this stuff anyway. When you do eat these sorts of foods, make sure they are of a high quality - like a whole grain bread not just plain white bread. You want nutrient packed foods not over processed.

There is no such thing as "spot reducing". When you diet your body looses fat from all over. In women, the slowest place your body will release your fat is usually around your mid section. This is why in most women, this is the hardest place to loose fat.

So, to sum up: Pick an exercise you like and can stick with at least 3 times a week for an hour. Eat a healthy diet rich in vegetables, fruits and proteins and limited breads, pastas, rices etc. Eat 5 small meals a day so you don’t get hungry and subsequently overeat. DRINK WATER. Water cleanses the body and actually helps it release toxins that can cause some weight gain. Drink half your body weight in ounces per day, ie if you weigh 150lbs, half of this would be 75. So, 75 oz of water a day. Don’t expect instant results. Quality weightloss that will endure, takes time to achieve. This is the method that allowed me to loose and keep off 30lbs.

    2. Fruits and vegetables
    3. Eat right, go out to exercise in some way (job 2 miles or someting) everyday

    1) swimming or sports YOU LIKE(so that you won’t think it is tiring)
    2)yogurt, fruits and veggies esp sth like watermelon/papaya and etc
    3)you can try 5 or 6 small meals a day instead of the usual 3. refrain from eating after 7pm but if you can’t,then drink a glass of milk. calorie intake should be less than average if you want to lose weight,(let say 1200 cal). don’t eat so much sweet stuff.

    oh i’m also trying to lose fat on my thighs but i’m not as fortunate as you…my thighs are very firm and hence hard to lose it off,perhaps its becos i’m quite active in sports. well,i suggest you go for some slimming/lipo on the thighs instead of exercising because it just make it more firm and toned and muscular,which will make it even harder to lose by then.but its up to you anyway.you can also apply some heat lotion to it and then wearing super tight stockings.if you want to exercise,MAKE sure you massage your thigh area immediately after the exercise,it will help not to make it so firm.

    1)The best sports are all of them. You should be doing as many combinations of running, jumping, cycling, skipping, rowing and climbing as you can think of. Play sports you like, but do it aggressively so you keep the intensity up. Your body will only change if you give it a reason to.
    2)Too many people fall into the low fat diet trap and end up eating too many bad carbs which usually makes you gain weight. You need a good amount of healthy fats at every meal. A good mantra to remember is to eat "meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar". This is exactly how we evolved as humans and will accelerate your athletic performance and appearance and help minimize developing debilitating diseases when you’re older.
    3)Your workouts should be big, basic and brief. Do multi-joint full body movements like deadlifts, squats, cleans and jerks. These mimic our actions in daily life and give us the most benefit, as well as making the body lean and strong (just look at sprinters compared to marathon runners). Keep your body geussing by constantly changing the load, reps and time of your training. Shock your body into digging in to that body fat to use as fuel.
