Yeah I know, weird question right? You don’t eat food to lose weight but that’s not what I mean. What are the right foods to be eating. My dad recommended oatmeal for breakfast because it keeps you full. Any others…O and I know this probably isn’t good but I really don’t like vegetables, especially cooked ones. Cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, and carrots aren’t terrible though, just not cooked vegetables.

Oatmeal
Peanut Butter
Lean Chicken and Turkey
Nuts (especially Pistachios)
Low Fat Cottage Cheese
Fruits
Vegetables
Spinach
Whole Wheat anything. NO OTHER TYPE OF BREAD/PASTA

Instead of frozen yogurt, try mixing one cup of non fat yogurt (plain or vanilla) and adding fruits like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and freezing it. You got yourself a tasty treat! With half the calories!

Replace chips, pretzels, any other type of high carb food with pistachios. They’re the lowest calorie nut, and have loads of heart healthy benefits!

Example Meal:
Breakfast: Oatmeal with Banana. Water. Green Tea.

Snack: Cottage Cheese or Fruits (strawberries or an apple)

Lunch: Whole Wheat Bread, with Turkey and Low Fat swiss cheese. Spinach and Tomato for veggies. Carrot Sticks.

Snack: Pistachios

Dinner: Chicken. Sweet Potatoes. Summer Squash or Carrots. Skim Milk. Or Low Fat Milk.

You need to educate yourself first and then attack the problem. The news media and doctors are the last people to ask about nutrition. They are not trained in that subject and when they make feeble attempts at making recommendations, it is really quite pitiful.

There are two books you should get and read. This will help give you a better understanding, "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, Ph.D. and "Eat Fat, Lose Fat" by Elaine Gittleman.

    good luck to you

it’s best to stick to fruits and vegetables. fibre is really good, not only does it keep you feeling fuller for longer but it also slows down the absorption of food. with regards to not liking cooked vegetables that’s fine they are better for you raw anyway as cooking can break down the nutrients in the vegetables, but just stick with what you like
