I was thinking..something along the lines of eating healthier..

Eat less. Only healthy food. No greasy, fast food or high carbs.

I sort of go with Aylssa on this one though any dry food still has grains except the Innova Evo and that can put weight on a lot of cats. I feel the sure fire method to keep cats trim is an all-meat diet. And it must be quality canned food which Wellness has. There is also Natural Balance, Blue, Lick Your Chops, Avoderm, Innova. That’s what my three male cats eat along with a raw meat diet I prepare. All are trim and well-muscled cats 10-12 pounds in weight.

I can almost quarantee that switching to the meat will take the excess weight off your cats and the QUALITY is very important for the cats - no Fancy Feast, Whiskas, Friskies or Science Diet which all use by-product meat in their formulations.

What is the best online interactive calorie counter/weight loss program/food journal?

Hi,
I am not sure if I described what I am looking for correctly but one of the women’s magazines I subscribed to used to have one. It was an online program where you could log in everyday and enter what you ate and how much you exercised, you could also put in your daily Weighing and stuff. Can someone please direct me to another FREE program like that?

Whats the best weight loss method?

I’m of a healthy weight but i want to cut 5 lbs fast. I exercise regularly and eat healthy foods, I’ve even tried hydroxycut, but i cant seem to shed more than a pound or 2 (and hydroxycut tends to upset my stomach). What are you people using?? I’m looking for anything from exercise boosting tips to diet tricks to success stories about other weightloss supplements… anything to turn it up a notch.

Don’t go to diet pills for the answer. What are you doing for exercise? What’s your diet? Drink water… nothing but water. It can help you lose weight quicker along with exercise and a good diet. If you are exercising, increase your workout… if you’re running a mile every day, go for 2. You really should be working out every day for at least 30 minutes. Take a multi-vitamin and some fish oil. Fish oil helps your metabolism a lot. Other than those things, really just stay away from diet pills… they’re a quick fix, but it doesn’t last… you’ll only gain the pounds back later!

What is the best way to get my Chihuahua to lose weight?

About 3 months ago my mom moved to another state and took my chihuahua, Shadow, with her. She came back yesterday and I seen that Shadow had put on 2 or 3 lbs. he now ways 13.5 lbs and is badly overweight. He was overweight before they moved but now it is really bad and I want to get him down to an ideal weight for a chihuahua. he is nuetered and I know that dogs generaly gain weight after being nuetered but this is just too much. He broke his leg when he was younger and I know that the weight is hurting it because when he runs he lifts his leg and hops for a second or too. I am trying to find the best way to make him lose weight without over doing it and working him to death. I love my dog very much and I dont want to lose him to obesity. Also what would be the best food for weight loss?

Reduce his food by 25%, you’ll need to measure it out every day instead of dumping some in his bowl. No people food, very limited healthy treats. You don’t really need a special weight loss food, if you want a lower calorie kibble so you can feed a little more volume, I’d recommend Canidae Platinum Senior and Overweight. Canidae’s web site has a dealer locator, it is usually found at feed stores and locally owned pet stores. Add daily walks to his routine, half an hour twice a day is probably a good starting point.

I would take him in to have the leg checked out, though. A ’skipping’ gait like you describe is usually an indicator of a luxating patella (a knee cap that does not stay in place) if it’s a rear leg, it’s pretty common in small dogs. If it’s severe, there are surgical options that will help a lot. If it’s still in the early stages, taking the excess weight off and some physical therapy can sometimes help avoid surgery later on. Unless the break was in the joint, I doubt that’s why he’s limping.

if you really want to lose wight and fat then you should remember and do this:

Best and worst foods for energy/weight loss?

I had my second baby a few months ago and am having a very difficult time getting off the last 15lbs of baby weight.

I’m quite active ( I work out at least three days a week, plus I incorporate a lot of physical activity into my day-to-day life), but my son is a LOUSY sleeper, and I’ve been turning to quick-fix foods (caffeine and sugary foods) to keep my energy up. The trouble is, I feel rotten as soon as I come down off the high.

I’m looking for a diet that will naturally boost my energy, and will help me shed the last pounds. What foods will help? What foods will hurt?

I’m not in a rush to loose the weight, I just want to feel better and keep it off.

Eat what you want. Don’t worry too much as long as your diet is well rounded or reasonably varied. If you have no health concerns such as diabetes or high blood pressure, the don’t worry about what you eat. Remember to eat light meals and plenty of them. Exercise regularly. That’s it. Exercise boosts energy levels. Eating a well balanced meal does also. Stay away from hurried meals. Also stay away from stuffing yourself. Keep things simple. I eat four or five times a day when my wife is here. When she’s gone, I drop to once a day. I lose lots of weight and physical conditioning because my diet is not well rounded and my exercise is almost non-existent. I just get too depressed to take care of myself. Bad way to lose weight. Use the method described before.

what are your best weight loss tips?

besides the obvious exercise, eating well, portion control etc. are there certain times of the day that are better for eating than others? great foods/drinks to boost your metobolism/energy. things like that.

If you are looking for some good snacking foods, reach for CELERY!!!! It is one of the only foods that have negative calories. In other words, it takes more calories for your body to digest the celery than the celery has. So basically, when you eat celery, it satisfies your hunger AND burns fat. Also, try to do a few yoga poses before bed. Even after you’re done doing yoga, your muscles continue to burn calories so, you can burn calories while you sleep! And one more thing…WATER! Lots of it makes you loose weight fast, my friend. Hope this helped. :]
