Need help to loss weight as fast as possable?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

hello, I’m a 25 year old male i currently weight 271 pounds with a Bmi of 39. My main goal is to join the Army, i hear there are other ways with little tests to join if I’m not with in the standards but i know it would help if i was were i need to be. i need to have at least 26 bmi and/or 192 pounds but ive always been a bigger guy. Also what saddens me is in 2003 i was in the best shape of my life i could lift alot of weights and was lean and cut but i still was a little puggy and weighted 220 lbs i have alot of reasons why i wanna join and its depresses me because im being held back from what i wanna do in life because of my weight and i really need some help. ( how can i weight less now then i could when i was in the best shape id ever been in)?

i have a membership to a gym and i go as much as i can but it dos not seem to be enough. some people drink, others smoke and some others do drugs me on the other hand i eat food and i love it. people say to me that i should cut back on the amount i eat and eat more healthy but if i wake up and want some fast food i get full, if i wake up and eat a apple 10 min l8er i want more and i spend the whole day thinking and craving food cause i never got full also if im hungry and my belly hurts i get head achs ( sometimes) but 98% of the time i turn in to a grisly bear and get very very grouchey i would like to join today as we speak but with my weight thats not gonna happen so if theres any 1 out there that could help me it would make me very greatful.

Don’t stuff yourself with food in a single sitting; instead have 5 to 6 small meals or snacks in a day. Eating several small meals helps the body to release less insulin, which keeps blood sugar steady and helps to control hunger.

Make water your favorite drink. A person must have a minimum of 8 glasses of water in a day. Avoid taking soft drinks or carbonated beverages; moreover replace them with water. Water helps in reducing weight in the most effective manner.

Stock your refrigerator with low-fat yogurt. Cut down 500 calories a day from your diet and eat yogurt three times a day for 12 weeks. It will help you lose more weight and body fat.

Fast weight loss for a 20 year old male?

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Hi, I’m 20 and weight 295-300lbs, 5′10. It’s not all fat, I can move quite well, and have a lot of muscle, but a good layer of fat over it. So the question is how can I lose a lot of this fat very fast and keep as much muscle as possible?

I figured I’d work with just eating white rice with one protein bar per day and try my best to exercise.

The ideal target is to become fitter (I’m not expecting miracles) within three weeks to a month. I’m not the most disciplined person, or hardest worker, and I absolutely adore food (I didn’t hit 300lbs by magic) so it will be hard, but any help or advice would be great.

Thanks

you should eat at least 4-5 meals a day.

drink lots of water, and eat regularly. don’t starve yourself, because once you start eating again, you’ll gain everything back, trust me.

eat lots of fruits and veggies, and if you eat bread, make sure it’s whole grain. white bread is pretty fattening. you can also eat lean meats, like fish, turkey and chicken breast. eggs also help when trying to lose weight.

skip out on sweets, candy, sugary foods, chips, ice cream, cake, and cookies.

if you feel hungry, but don’t want to over eat, chew gum. it’ll keep your mouth busy and it tricks yourself into thinking your eating.

cut out ALL soda! if you stop drinking soda, it helps you out a lot!
and don’t forget to exercise!

try walking, jogging, jump rope, dancing, crunches, bike riding and swimming. try exercising for 45-80 minutes a day.
good luck!

Fast Weight Loss w/fasting and light exercise?

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

I wanted to drop some pounds b4 homecoming and its coming up very quickly… If for the next eight days i only drink water and consume no food with light walking exercises do you know if i would lose any weight and if so, how much?

you would lose about a pound a day doing that but after 2 days you will feel dizzy and will be weak. Why dont you just try eating small portions of food 3 times a day, 300 calories per meal TOTAL 900 CALORIES.

thats better and healthier than fasting to lose weight.

Fast Weight Loss?

Friday, September 11th, 2009

I want to lose weight fast, any tips at all would be appreciated, Foods, Pukeing tips, ( kidding) Exercise anything.

The only way to lose weight is to take in less energy as food and drink than you are using up. There is no such thing as fast weight loss. You will certainly lose weight if you restrict your calorie intake sufficiently but you are almost certain to regain it once you stop dieting. The real secret of successful weight loss is to eat the right kind of diet that, while continuing to provide all the nutrients you need, enables you to shed the excess gradually. Once you have reached your target weight, you must think in terms of modifying the way you eat on a long-term basis so that your weight stays more or less steady rather than fluctuating as you start and stop slimming diets. And there is no avoiding the fact that, if you combine a sensible weight loss diet with regular exercise, you will find it very much easier to lose weight and keep it off.

You will lose weight if you regularly burn more energy (calories) than you consume. The amount of energy you burn will depend on two things – your resting metabolic rate (which varies greatly between individuals and tends to be highest in bigger people) and your level of physical activity. In other words, the more physically active you are, the more you can afford to eat without putting on weight. In principle, however, a man should begin to shed the pounds if he consumes fewer than 1500 calories a day, and a woman if she has fewer than 1200.

Making specific exercise, such as swimming, a regular part of your life is important, but you also need to get into the mind-set where you keep moving as much as possible during the day. So – stand up to answer the phone, run up the stairs at home, perhaps even do more Hoovering, polishing and gardening. If you live reasonably near the shops, go on foot, buy less at a time and go more frequently so you can carry it, and use the car only when absolutely necessary. If you’re travelling on public transport, get off one stop early and make a point of using the stairs rather than an escalator or lift in stations and department stores, for example.

How can you lose weight?
It is generally accepted that the most effective and safest way to prevent and treat/manage weight gain is to:

-follow a healthy way of eating
-be more active
This method of treatment requires you to:

have the desire to lose weight
understand the principles of healthy eating and activity
be able to commit to activities which will help you achieve these goals
As far as your diet is concerned, remember that:

-fat provides over double the number of calories found in the equivalent weight of protein and carbohydrate – so cutting down on foods which contain a lot of fat will help to save a lot of calories
-alcoholic drinks contain only calories and few other nutrients – avoiding or cutting down on alcohol will therefore help in weight reduction
-starchy foods which are high in fibre tend to be filling, and therefore may help you to eat less if you feel full for longer
when considering change, therefore, you should reduce the number of calories you get from fat and alcohol, increase those from carbohydrates encouraged and have only moderate amounts from protein

As far as rate of weight loss is concerned, remember that:

-you will lose most weight in the first week of any diet because your body is burning glycogen rather than fat and losing excess water in the process.

-you should aim for no more than 1kg (2lb) weight loss per week after the first week when you are burning off fat

Going on a FAST for weight loss?

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

I should probably consult with a doctor about this, but yahoo! answers hardly fails me, so…

I am 18 years old in college and 200 pounds and a guy who is 5′7", just FYI. I have been struggling with my weight for quite some time now. Last semester, I put a lot of hard work into it, and it certainly helped, but not enough. Then, over the holiday break, without good cooking options (long story), I was restricted to fast foods; furthermore, I couldn’t get to a gym. So I lost a lot of my work I had done. I know I need to persevere and work even harder, but I have started thinking about fasting in order to aid me with this process.

I’ve been told that fasting pretty much resets your metabolism, and weight loss becomes much easier to facilitate, especially with changes in appetite. I am seriously considering this sometime in the near future.

1. Has anyone ever fasted before?
2. Do you know anyone who’s fasted before?
3. How long should I fast in order to achieve desired results?
4. What should I supplement myself with? Obviously lots of water, but what kinds of juice or vitamins?
5. Should I exercise when I’m fasting?
6. Basically, how can I go about this in the most healthy and beneficial way?

And if you have any other pearls of wisdom or web links, please share them. Thanks!
Can I still drink green tea? I am addicted to caffeine, and I am unwilling to quit it. I have even quit caffeine before for about 3 months, but you can noticeably tell a difference, and with life the way it is, I need to be alert and energized.

No no no no dude don’t fast you’ve got it all wrong. Fasting gains weight. If you eat several healthy meals a day, it will be your best results. Fasting can be almost worse than eating junk food, depending how much you fast and how much junk you were eating before. You see, when the body senses you aren’t eating any food, it stores more fat than before, thinking you might starve and is just going into natural self preservation. Fasting is also not healthy for your body and caused malnutrition. So for weight loss just eat healthy foods and exercise often, dont’ be critical on yourself, stay with it, and be positive! Hope i helped and good luck.

Does eating fast food affect weight loss if you are still eating less calories?

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Here is what I am planning on eating tomorrow:

Breakfast- Quaker Oatmeal (140 cal)

Lunch- Campbell’s Select Harvest All Natural Tomato Basil Soup (200 cal) and a Caesar salad w/ no croutons or cheese(150 cal)

Snack at work- Luna Bar (180 cal) and an apple (100 cal)

Dinner: 2 soft shell beef tacos from Taco Bell (440 cal)

That’s 1210 calories for the whole day. Everything I’m planning on eating is healthy except for the tacos. But I can’t eat dinner until I’m off of work which is at 9pm, and I don’t want to have to make dinner.

Is it going to affect my weight loss if I eat Taco Bell tacos? Or is it okay since I’m still within my caloric limit (1200 calories)?

well the amount of calories your taking is is pretty low. ide say that as long as you dont do this that often it wont affect you. however if you did more research on nutrition (i find www.bodybuilding.com to have plenty of resources on dieting) you would find that calories arent as important as where they come from. for instance protein is usually good all round but some things also contain saturated fat (like beef - unless its lean) that also contain protein. saturated fat is not that healthy for you especially since you want to lose weight. Taco shells are more than likely not whole grains which means it contains simple carbs that digest and enter the bloodstream relatively fast and will store as body fat sooner unless the energy is used up (like from exercising right after or before).
Good fats on teh other hand (unsaturated fats excluding transfat) like that found in nuts peanut butter etc. digest slowly and are really healthy to eat especially when tryig to lose weight.
complex carbs like that found in wheat bread/whole grains/oats and even fruits have it is also very beneficial as it digests slowly keeping your body burning calories at an increased rate for longer.

Weight loss- foods that i should avoid. FAST WEIGHT LOSS please help?

Friday, July 17th, 2009

I don’t find myself as fat, and nobody else does but i want to slim down to look better. I’m already a size small but i want to lose weight on my thighs and my chest. I would really appreciate appropriate answers- please no answers that don’t relate to my question. and please help!
thanks -brad

Hi Brad,
Whether you are trying to lose weight or simply maintain your current waistline, being aware of proper meal portions is the key to a healthy body.

1. Breakfast : Whether you are having a bowl of cereal or a bagel, it is important to have only one serving. For instance, did you know that half a mini bagel is a true single serving ?

2. Meat : This is one of the foods which we often eat way too much of. We have gotten so used to giant restaurant portions that many of us tend to consume 3 times more than we should be. An average serving of meat should be equal in size to a deck of cards.

3. Pasta : This is yet another food that we overindulge in a single serving of pasta should fit in the palm of your hand. We all are guilty f consuming up to 4 servings in just one sitting !

4. Juices : We tend to drink juices like there is no tomorrow. However, before indulging in three glasses a day, check out the calorie content in just one serving. You may be surprised at how many calories you are drinking.

Remember that it is much better to consume smaller meals more frequently throughout the day than it is to consume two giant meals. If you are serious about weight loss you can also try all natural diet pills.
