Is this a good weight plan teen?

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Hi (:
I was looking at other questions and it gave me an idea to make a weight loss plan let me know what i need too improve and if its okay?

Breakfast: some orange juice with cereal.
Lunch:Fruit Salad
Snacks:Fruit,snack bars,smoothies
Dinner:Weight watchers food..could be anything.

Exercise:
Yoga for 20 Mins
Dancing For 30 Mins
Walking For 30 Mins - different days!

i’ll take any advice on board and it may change everyday?

No, I’m afraid this is seriously lacking. You have no protein in here which is vital for muscle maintenance, including the heart muscle.3 servings are essential. You also need 3 servings of wholegrain carbs and cutting down even temporarily can do permanent damage to your arteries.
You’re good on the fruit levels but remember to include vegetables too.
Weight watchers food can be high in salt. There are lots of simple meals you can do yourself which are a lot healthier. Jacket potato with cheese or tuna, pasta with tomato sauce and beans, or fish with brown rice and veg. These are all perfectly balanced and have everything your body needs. X

Is my weight-loss plan I currently have a risk to my health?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I turned 16 years old a week ago and have a medium sized spare tire. My current weight-loss plan is: to eat a little more than 1000 calories a day, and exercise a lot. My plan is by eating less and working out more will help my body take more from my stomach than the food. I just started this plan about three days ago, and am wondering if it will complicate my health at all. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Eric,

Many such programs and diet plans go overboard in their attempt to make people lose fat rapidly. Fad diets or starvation diets are a definite no-no. There are so many harmful effects of starving yourself and not eating properly. And many times, you would not lose body fat with such fad diets, instead you will lose water weight. Similarly , low carb diets, low protein diets etc. that make you eat only a certain kind of food and not others are also not a very good method of weight loss.

In 2005 i was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and I’m "very overweight" (250 pounds). The doctor said I should think about losing some weight and start to exercise. I’ve had three back surgeries since 2001, I used to be a size five. But then I blew up to an astonishing size 22. I’ve tried throwing up my food but that I could never succeed at it even though Ive tried a thousand times. I’ve try marking down everything I eat, took weight loss pills and exercising to burn the extra fat. You name it, i’ve tried it.

Finally, in April 2008 my best friend introduce me a new technique of weight loss program. At first i was a bit sceptical since i’ve been ripped off a few times. But after joining the program, I’ve lost 30 pounds in the first month and currently my weight is 120 pounds. The truth is our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss programs. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight. The knowledge from the program is invaluable and i’m sure you won’t be regret. Btw the program is absolutely safe and you will enjoy it for life. You could find the link at the source below.

Will anybody add onto my weight loss plan please?

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

I run a trail every other day and that’s pretty much it.
I’m 14 4′10 and 130 lbs.
I want to get down to 100 - 115.
What should I add?
Diet foods?
Other routines for toning, etc?
Thanks!

Do some resistance training (bodyweight or weightlifting) to speed up fat and volume loss (not necessarily weight though, but if you’re slimmer and leaner and stronger, who cares).

Don’t eat "diet food" - it only makes you fat. Eat lean proteins and vegetables, healthy fat (25-30% of your calories should come from fat, but be choosy about your fat!), and limit starches and fruit (it’s still sugar) and anything sugary/junky (once a week is OK).

Will green tea diet pills help me with my weight loss plan?

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Im biking at least 5 miles every day and im swimming three days a week
im also doing sit ups every morning and night
im off all junk food and sweets blah blah blah.
I want to lose about 15 lbs in 5 weeks
do you think green tea diet pills will help
thanks so much

Why not just drink actual green tea? I never trust pills - it’s not as good as getting the actual antioxidants straight from brewed green tea. You will probably not lose a ton of weight by drinking this — but it can help a bit.

What is a good weight loss plan to lose 20 pounds by August 31st?

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

What are the best exercises to do to trigger this weight loss, and what are the best foods to eat?

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

what do you think of my raw food diet plan for weight loss?

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

7 am - breakfast - fruit salad
9 am - fruit
11 am - fruit
1 pm - fruit juice
3 pm - lunch - mashed fruit
5 pm - vegetable salad
7 pm - dinner - vegetable salad

+ one grapefruit after exercising.

exercise:
2 hours at the gym (weight lifting + ab exercise)
1 (minimum) hour walking
15-30 minutes rope jumping
10-15 minutes up and down the stairs

+ 3 litres of water

What do you think of this? Could I lose 3-4 kgs really fast? Like 7-10 days? I am not a big girl, I have 51 kgs and want to get down to 47-48. I have been on a weight loss protein diet for the past 5 weeks and one with a bit of carbs for the 6th one, but these last 3 kgs just won’t come off :)
Hi there,
I would recommend incorporating more vegetables and cutting back on the sugar if you’re looking to lose weight. Be sure to incorporate some nuts, seeds, and fats to prevent the body from losing too much muscle; you’ll need the protein they impart to grow muscle.

Salads and fruits can get boring, so I recommend stocking up on raw food recipes. A good resource for raw food recipes is www.rawpeople.com.

Hope this helps!

what is a good weight loss plan for a vegetarian?

Friday, June 26th, 2009

i weigh about 160 and want to get my body more in shape, what kinds of food should i eat and how much? what exercises?

Quit eating meat replacements… they're way too processed, and not at all good for you. Start eating more raw fruits and veggies, be sure youre getting your leafy greens, cut back on the carbs (a lot of veggie diets include far too many) and do a little more exercise… elliptical, long walks, yoga, pilates, etc. etc.

Why does everyone look for some magical shortcut to weight loss?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

I see the same question dozens of times every day: "How do I lose weight fast and easy?"

Unless you get liposuction done, you CAN'T lose weight fast and easy. It takes HARD WORK and TIME. People are always looking for some magical shortcut to weight loss, and it doesn't exist! You need to eat healthy and exercise, and you can't just do it for a week and expect to be in perfect shape. You need to change your entire lifestyle and stick to your exercise and diet for it to happen, and you won't see results right away. It's not something that happens overnight. I'm so annoyed by people always asking how they can lose weight without putting any effort into it.

So, my question is: Where did people get the idea that weight loss is something that can be done fast and easy? Has the media created this idea? Is it because of the thousands of so-called weight loss foods and plans that are marketed to young people? Why are people so determined to find a shortcut to weight loss instead of putting in the effort to eat healthy and exercise? The ONLY true way to lose weight is to eat healthy and exercise, stop looking for magical alternatives!

Personally, I think it is a product of our society. We want everything fast and easy whether it is food, internet services or weight loss. No one wants to spend the time and effort it takes to lose weight because it is such hard work. I also think that people look at celebrities, see how quickly they lose weight and believe an ordinary person can do the same thing. The problem is that most of us cannot afford a personal trainer, the fortune of being able to workout for 4 hours a day or the pleasure of having our own personal chef prepare meals for us.
