Does the Think & Lose weight loss program really work?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

The Think & Lose program says: listen to a tape once and your subconscious mind will no longer crave sugary, unhealthy foods, but will crave healthy foods instead, and you’ll feel full and satisfied halfway through a meal you would normally finish. This allows you to lose pounds of excess weight and keep it off for good. I was wondering if this was really a scam or if this really does help you using hypnosis. I would prefer answers from those who’ve tried the product, but all help is welcome.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Has anyone ever tried Jenny Craig or any other weight loss program?

Monday, July 27th, 2009

I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried it and what it was like. My boyfriend and I are thinking of doing it as a couple. Also I have diabetes, I would imagine the food would be okay with sugar?

**I will only except REAL ANSWERS, anyone being a jerk will be happily deleted :) <3**

I’ve heard Weight Watchers is good, but if you change your eating ways permanently, you don’t have to join anything. Write what you eat in a food diary and count your calories. Eat healthy like this:
You should eat some protein with every meal! Beans are a great substitute for meat and can be put in soup or salad or tacos. Eat fresh salmon…it’s better. About 10 almonds a day is good or about 5 walnuts, no other nuts. Peanut or almond butter is good to use as a dip for apple slices.
Eat brown rice, veggies and baked fish for dinner.
Oatmeal for breakfast with fruit in it.
Drink fruit smoothies during the day for a snack. Try to eat protein at every meal…for breakfast with the oatmeal, eat a scrambled egg white or a hard boiled egg.
Eat a salad or chicken/turkey sandwich on whole wheat for lunch. Use olive oil and vinegar dressing…no saucy dressings.
Drink water only.
Never eat white or processed foods.
Try baked sweet potatoes…mmm… Eat spinach salads, not plain lettuce and add all the veggies you want to it. Try red wine vinegar…a few splashes and a little drizzle of olive oil.
If you want a crunchy snack, cut up a cucumber and put in lite Italian dressing or better yet, half cold water and half white vinegar. I mix mine with some cherry tomatoes too…

A good smoothie needs a good blender, so make sure you have one, cut up 1 banana, some blueberries (about 10-15) and strawberries (about 5), a cup or so of skim milk, a sprinkle of flax seed (buy a container of it and keep in fridge), a scoop of vanilla protein powder and blend it up, add a bit of crushed ice and you’ve got a good smoothie. You can add any kind of fruit…I cut up peaches sometimes too or frozen cherries.

Try reverse crunches, where you lift your legs up and out. Go to SELF.com for good tips…I love their workouts. Walk or run a lot and
use a stability ball for crunches.

Has anyone tried the Food Lovers Fat Loss program?

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

I'm in nursing school which makes it very difficult to eat healthy all the time and I'm also trying to lose weight before my wedding in May 2010. I saw this program and thought it could be worth a try since it involves sensible eating without excluding food groups you like but eat in moderation. I purchased it today and hope that it's worth it. What do you think of the program and/or have experienced??

I'm told Costco has a program for weight loss that involves eating food bars several times a day in place of?

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

regular meals with additional fruits and veggies. Tell me what to do to find out more.

Those food bars are usually full of chemicals and stuff. You'd be better off taking a multi vitamin capsule and eating real food. You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don't eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you'll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn't get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn't slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.

Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

best program/dvd/food/advice to start weight loss (how do i stay motivated?)?

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

i am currently 225 pounds….3 years ago i was only 165, a size ten, and feeling great. of course with getting married and settling into a house a year and a half ago….all the weight keeps piling on. i know i don't eat well or exercise, so my question is…where do i start. what is the best/fastest way to start losing it? and most of all, how do i stay motivated to keep it up, especially in the first few weeks? i want to look great and feel great, like i used to. i feel terrible and sluggish now only being 22….i can only imagine how i'll feel at 40 going to the way i am. thanks!

Just take it week by week. You need to change your eating habits. Cut one bad/unhealthy item a week. For example, week one soda. With just cutting this alone you can lose so much weight!

Also start eating healthier! Eat lots of fruits and veggies! Also, no more junk food, and drink lots of water! Try to cut out fast food also, but sometimes it just is the only option. For these instances, check out the eat this not that books. I have all 3 of them and LOVE them! They really open your eyes to what you are actually eating at fast food places and most restaurants.

Start exercising also. This can be anything from walking, jogging, swimming, biking, literally anything that gets you moving! Try to do some form of cardio 3x a week!

Good luck, you can do it! It will be hard at first but it will pay off in the end :)

Free Calorie Counter Weight Loss Programs?

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

They make really useful calorie counter weight loss programs for the Ipod that are free. They have daily logs for calorie and nutrient counting, searchable non-internet databases for all different foods, custom recipes, excercises, goal tracking, etc. Programs such as "loseit!". I know someone who would like to use one but doesn't have an ipod and my question is if anyone knows of a program such as this that is for a regular personal computer and is free to download/use. 10 pts to best answer. Thanks!

weight loss programs or coaches?

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

anyone know of any weight loss programs for free online (does more than eat right and exercise) and woud have like somewhere to kee ptrack of calories and food or like a online coach to help you?

I strongly believe as many things, weight loss adaptation has to initiate mentally well before it can be practiced physically. This article helps one tone his/her mind in a positive way which compliments this profound endeavor. Additionally, I intend to focus on the most crucial aspect of weight loss namely corrective consumption as without that there is no weight loss or health program (Strategic meal planning is clearly manifested).

The following is an expert opinion:

It's already been posted, but I was to reiterate how good Calorie Count is.

A great place to get tips, find out how many calories are in stuff, workout techniques and a great place to log your food intake and excersize. Also a great online community.
