Here is what I am planning on eating tomorrow:
Breakfast- Quaker Oatmeal (140 cal)
Lunch- Campbell’s Select Harvest All Natural Tomato Basil Soup (200 cal) and a Caesar salad w/ no croutons or cheese(150 cal)
Snack at work- Luna Bar (180 cal) and an apple (100 cal)
Dinner: 2 soft shell beef tacos from Taco Bell (440 cal)
That’s 1210 calories for the whole day. Everything I’m planning on eating is healthy except for the tacos. But I can’t eat dinner until I’m off of work which is at 9pm, and I don’t want to have to make dinner.
Is it going to affect my weight loss if I eat Taco Bell tacos? Or is it okay since I’m still within my caloric limit (1200 calories)?
well the amount of calories your taking is is pretty low. ide say that as long as you dont do this that often it wont affect you. however if you did more research on nutrition (i find www.bodybuilding.com to have plenty of resources on dieting) you would find that calories arent as important as where they come from. for instance protein is usually good all round but some things also contain saturated fat (like beef - unless its lean) that also contain protein. saturated fat is not that healthy for you especially since you want to lose weight. Taco shells are more than likely not whole grains which means it contains simple carbs that digest and enter the bloodstream relatively fast and will store as body fat sooner unless the energy is used up (like from exercising right after or before).
Good fats on teh other hand (unsaturated fats excluding transfat) like that found in nuts peanut butter etc. digest slowly and are really healthy to eat especially when tryig to lose weight.
complex carbs like that found in wheat bread/whole grains/oats and even fruits have it is also very beneficial as it digests slowly keeping your body burning calories at an increased rate for longer.
