Don’t just say simple diet and exercise. I need details, like what kinds of foods and what kinds of exercises. Thank you.
I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far.
I lost 105 pounds in my first 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I eat according fatloss4idiots diet plan.
3. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.
It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Eat no processed foods.
No refined sugar.
Try to stick to vegetable protein - though fish is OK.
Only complex carbs, and try to eat them early in the day.
Lots of fiber.
Very small dinner.
Exercise to raise heart rate for at least 30 mins 4 times a week.

Cut out the bad fats, meat and dairy. Eat more vegetables, stir fries and home made soups, porridge for breakfast. Go for daily walks. This is a very good start, and it is so simple. When you see the results, you will want to research further. Eating is for life. You can replace sweet sodas for fruit teas, or water. All simple but real things that can help you to lose weight without misery or hunger. I hope you give it a go. Replace bad fat filled snacks with something good you like - an apple say. We just need to learn to eat healthy is all.

A mix of low-calorie and low carbohydrate. Carbs are really just empty calories, just good for energy, and since we’re a stationary society, not really needed. I usually advise people to eat oatmeal for breakfast, plain turkey or chicken without bread for lunch (get some flavored stuff, like cajun so its not too bland), and something relatively healthy and filling for dinner.
Try to eat 6 small meals a day.
Exercise: Cardio (like running, elliptical, punching bag bike riding etc), and weight lifting. Low weight, high reps.

In my opinion one of the major reasons that the many people struggle to lose weight is that they are over-consuming processed refined carbohydrates such as pasta, bagels, breads, cereals, rice, muffins, etc. Over-consuming these types of refined processed carbohydrates will simply cause your blood sugar level (and insulin surges) to swing and these swings stimulate body fat storage.
Try to increase your carbohydrate intake by eating more veggies, sweet potatoes, berries and whole fruits (NOT fruit juices, which remove the beneficial fiber as well as other important nutrients in the fruit) rather than grain foods.

The whole idea of a successful weight loss program is to approach it in a realistic manner without compromising your overall health. The followings are some of the criteria of a good weight loss program.
• Without using any diet pills or supplements. Although a few types of diet pills have been approved by FDA but there were cases at some point in time, the FDA has approved a drug that is certified safe for the public but later recalls it back when there is a new finding that the drug is not safe in the long term.
• The weight loss program is affordable by all and do not need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and the amount of lose weight will reversed back when you stop consuming it.
